Auction for vintage alloy Desert Storm/Vietnam War 101st Airborne Medal/Challenge coin.
1. Desert Storm/Vietnam War 101st Airborne, Air Assault Mdal/challenge coin. On front coin has "The Screaming Eagles" along with 101st Airborne Division Patch. Bottom of coin has "101st Airborne Division (Air Assault). The rear of coin is says, "The Wings of Eagles" a motive of the Air Assault Badge "Fly with the Eagles" while the bottom of the coin is marked "Fort Campbell, Kentucky." Coin is made out of a gold plated alloy. It is 1" in diameter. Coin is in overall very good condition for age.  These coins turned up shortly after Desert Shield/Desert Storm. They were intended to honor those who had served in that conflict. The addition of the Air Assault was a homage to earlier veterans who came before them. They were sold at the base PX and also via the Cavalry Store.
Coin shows normal wear/tear associated with age. May have minor age related defects.
