This listing is for one (1) New, Unissued, Desert Storm era "Scale Measuring Typists" Typist Curved Ruler with a Rare Misprint.
The NSN is 7510-00-286-6898 and the correct Standard # is "A-A-559", which was promulgated from 1986 to 1993. However, on these, the standard # is misprinted as "A-A-599" - actually a portable battery charger!
The description in the NSN database is: A scale especially designed to fit the shape of a typewriter platen. It has vertical and horizontal typewriter scale graduations and is used by typists primarily as a line spacer. It is also suitable for use as a line guide, a ruler, a file punch gage, and an erasing guard. Excludes SHIELD, ERASING.
These are calibrated in Picas and lines and are new old stock, unissued and still in the original packaging.
