Genuine Namibian spessartite garnets of fine quality are extremely difficult to source as the mining location is entirely depleted.  I obtained this top quality example from the estate of an American cutter.  Gem measures 9.17x7.14x4.89 in a modified Portuguese oval shape and weighs 2.71 carats.  Gem is nearly eyeclean with numerous colorless inclusions visible under magnification.  Medium-light tone pure orange with strong saturation.
